Present your visitors with the tools they need to find properties and get all the fields that you need to create your saved links. Customize your advanced search fields to better fit your market and clientele.

This lesson should help you edit the search fields on your advanced search page to help your visitors find exactly what they are searching for.

Log into your IDX Broker account and visit Designs -> Pages.

To the far right of the Advanced Search row is a link for Fields. Click the Fields text link to edit your search fields on this page.

In step one select a property type and then click the view settings button.

On this page you will select the search fields that you would like displayed. Each MLS has totally different fields and these will look different on your account.
View the current options displayed for your visitors in the boxes under the labels of Left Side and Right Side.
Available fields that are not currently active are placed on the far right of the screen.

By selecting the yellow plus, add a search field to your advanced search page.
I have added a field, but I can also remove fields that I don’t think will benefit my potential clients.

Remove existing fields by clicking the trash icon.

You can also move the fields to an order that makes the most sense for your visitors. Just grab the upper left corner of a search field and move it on the page where you would like to see this option.

Once the fields are situated as you like, scroll back to the top and click Save Prop Type Layout.

A success message will display and you may now see the fruits of your work. Go back to Designs -> Pages, and click the link of the page that you just edited.
This will show you what your visitors will see when they perform a search.
