Edit Basic Search Fields

There are two types of fields displayed on your search pages – Basic and Advanced. Basic or “core fields” are search fields that appear at the top of your search pages and include options common to all MLS, like city, price, beds and bath, etcetera. With a Platinum account, you can customize the display of these basic fields on your IDX search pages.

To do so, click Designs in the main menu, and Pages in the submenu.

Here is a list of your IDX pages. Your Search Pages are at the top of this list. Click Edit under the Preferences column for the search page you would like to customize.

Now select the Search Setup tab.

Here you can select defaults for the basic fields. Hide options that aren’t applicable to your visitors by hovering over a search field and clicking the Hide button.

Set a default and hide it to restrict visitors to this option. For example, if you want this page to search only condos, select the Property Type of condo and then hide this field.

Specific location lists are available to apply to this page. If you would like more information about setting location lists, please visit our knowledgebase or view the video on custom location lists.

Once you have the options set, remember to Save Changes.
